Do You Have An Engineering Project We Can Help With?

Newark Airport

Included in the Guth DeConzo transportation portfolio are major renovations at Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal C.

Recent projects include a reconfiguration of the terminal C security checkpoints. Guth DeConzo was a sub consultant to PGAL and responsible for complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler and low voltage systems design and construction administration.

The existing 3 security check points were demolished and a consolidated checkpoint constructed. Included in the security check point consolidation was the demolition and reconstruction of 10,000sf of administrative areas, relocation of IT rooms, relocation of tower UPS room, construction of new white boxes for concession spaces and new public bathrooms. The project included 3 TAA’s,  and 9 phases of construction. Weekly meetings were attended at the jobsite during a 14 month construction period.

Our design was coordinated with the TSA including power for TSA equipment, camera systems, TSA administrative areas and TSA server room.

Total renovated area for the security check point reconfiguration project exceeded 30,000 square feet

In addition to the security check point project we have recently completed the renovations of more than 40 breakrooms in terminal C, more than 20 concession spaces and (3) 1st Class Lounges for United Airlines. The recent 1st class lounge projects at Terminal C exceed 40,000 square feet of renovated area.
